I watch the Portuguese news (RTP or SIC) while having my breakfast, I watch the Belgian news (TV5 Monde) “à midi” and turn to BBC News if something exceptional happens. I don't read daily newspapers, but I do read a Portuguese weekly journal (“Expresso”), a Portuguese magazine (“Visão”), three French magazines (“Obs”, “Elle” and “Marie Claire”) and “The Economist”. I usually read in bed before going to sleep…

Reading the news in my target language is a great help to learn about a variety of subjects and specific words, knowledge that I can subsequently use to translate a variety of subjects or to search for reference texts more quickly.

I have a computer-free day now and then, but as my target language is English, I probably get a dose of it one way or another even then!
Quite apart from deliberately reading books and whatever I have lying about the house, talking to relatives etc.

I still have to work at it in my specialist areas. News and casual 'conversations' are not enough!

I never read any news in Maltese as journalists either mis-spell the words and seeing words mis-spelled makes over and over again makes you get used to spelling mistakes - somehow journalists don't bother about the written word and its power when you see it written the same way day after day.
