Dear Prozers!

Once upon a time there was a group of Spanish students that thought that it was terrible that there were works of Pushkin, TOlstoi, Mayakovski, and other great RUssian writers... still not translated to Spanish!

Dear Prozers!

Once upon a time there was a group of Spanish students that thought that it was terrible that there were works of Pushkin, TOlstoi, Mayakovski, and other great RUssian writers... still not translated to Spanish!

So they started to learn Russian, and have been with it for three years.

Some days ago they went to Moscow, to Pushkin institute, to spend the month learning Russian and using it.

Of course, the fact that St. Petersburg had been created 300 years ago didn't go unnoticed to them, and started making plans to visit it.

I count myself among that group, and I write this distress call to ask for you kind help.
If you could help us, we would be eternally grateful.

If we go, it will probably be the weekend of the 26 and 27th og July

So, we need advice on accomodation. Can you tell us of good hostels for a group of 12 ?

Of course, if you could house us, that would be something great wink wink.
But we don't want to create any inconvinience, and we would be happy just if anyone can advice us, and perhaps help us with some arrangements.

Please, answer this thread if it is advice that you have, and write to me if you can help us with arrangements, meeting us, guiding us through the city or whatever, and we'll discuss the details. (Kindness does not go unrewarded)

Thank you very much in advance to all of you, and the best of luck, fellow language-workers!

To start with, there is a relatively cheap and quite conveniently situated hostel:

At their page you can check the prices, glance at the photographs, and make online reservation. It's indeed a good option for a large group of people and for a short period of time.

Another option is to rent several flats from an agency: this may cost you much cheaper than rooms even in a modest hotel.

Here's the site of an agecy I've been working with lately:

www.ltour.ru

Their prices are reasonable, and our foreign colleagues have been satisifed (and even delighted) with the accommodation. Not sure about a possibility of making online reservation there, but you can send them your phone number, and the agents will contact you (they speak English and German).

Good luck!
