Can I use google translate software if I hired as translator with proz. What is the pay here for translators ? | | | Sheila Wilson Espagne Local time: 06:42 Membre (2007) anglais + ... Are you serious or just having a laugh? | May 20, 2017 |
Whichever it is, the answer to your first question is no.
Secondly, we aren't actually hired here - we just meet clients here and then we go off and discuss terms.
Thirdly, I imagine you could find someone working for just about any rate you can imagine. There's nothing fixed. | | | translation software | May 21, 2017 |

There are many good translation softwares you will find on the internet. Translation can be done by copy and paste. | | | Susan Welsh États-Unis Local time: 01:42 russe vers anglais + ... what is proz | May 21, 2017 |
Why would you ask a question here without bothering to find out what sort of platform proz is? There's plenty of information on the site, FAQs, etc. For example:

Of cause, with caution and understanding one both can (physically able to) and may (not restricted) use machine translation (MT) or whatever--in reason.
However, the first requirement is both source and target (foreign and native) language competences, including the culture awareness, and specialization (a field or an expertise).
The second requirement is also a must--relevant business skills and interpersonal relations.

If a would-be translator cannot convey the idea properly, then it's just too early to be hired as a specialist. Practice makes perfect)
Does this really look ok?

Yes, although most clients will appreciate it if you fix the translation before sending it to them, so that the translation is accurate and the language is correct.
What is the pay here for translators?
There is no minimum and no maximum. | | | Sheila Wilson Espagne Local time: 06:42 Membre (2007) anglais + ... How much would it be worth? | May 21, 2017 |

Think about it from the client's point of view. Raw GT output would be worth zero. GT output that has had a few seconds of post-editing done on it would be worth maybe $0.01 per word, probably less. If you fail to spot that GT has changed a negative to an affirmative, or similar howler that it's fond of, it could result in a court case. | | | Ricki Farn Allemagne Local time: 07:42 anglais vers allemand You can also live knee deep in hamsters, but do you want to? | May 21, 2017 |
You can't even use Google Translate on lots of jobs for confidentiality reasons (the source text is sent to Google Translate via the internet, so someone can find out its contents in the process).
The asker reminds me of people who think they can earn money by breeding pet hamsters - hey, it's fast, easy, and cheap, isn't it? They end up with a surprising amount of hamsters, no market for them, and no clue as to what has gone wrong. | |

No.
And there should be a question mark after "proz" (which should be capitalised).

Oh, my reply w.r.t. the second question does not relate to the use of Google Translate, but in general. | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Can I use google translate to jobs at proz?
