新华网北京8月9日电(记者 张淼淼)8日晚20时至24时，一条暴雨云带自西南向东北顽强地向北京城进发、向“鸟巢”进发，气象部门自8日下午16时到23时39分共在北京21个作业点持续发射1104枚火箭弹将其成功拦截在北京城外。
直到2008北京奥运会开幕式结束，国家主体育场“鸟巢”滴雨未下，暴雨中心区河北保定以北地区最大雨量达100多毫米、房山降雨量25毫米。气象专家表示，这是中国有史以来最大规模的有组织、有计划成功实施的人工影响天气作业，也是奥运史上在开幕式阶段首次实现人工消雨。
8日，北京的空气湿度达到90%，几近饱和，似乎一把就能拧出水来。“这样的天气状况下，不要说一个强的雷电系统，就是稍微一个小冒泡都可能导致大的降水。”
北京市气象台台长郭虎说，8日早晨7时20分，在河套地区形成的降雨云系在不断加强，并向北京进发，气象部门开始严密监测这条云系，“它走得快一点、慢一点、加强一点都有可能对开幕式造成不同影响。”
8日晚20时，降雨云系开始从东北和西南影响北京郊区，并继续向城区“合围”，此时，怀北降雨6.7毫米、杨宋降雨5毫米、西南的霞云岭降雨3毫米、张坊降雨2毫米，离城区最近的五棵松地区已降雨0.9毫米。
北京市气象局7楼的人工影响天气指挥室，呼叫器里不断响起各人工影响天气作业点发回的讯息：“火箭发射作业完毕”“某某区县雨停了”……
呼叫、联络、回复，又一轮超强的消雨作业完毕后，卫星云图显示，雷电回波正在逐渐减弱，此时已是22时42分，正在“鸟巢”进行的北京奥运会开幕式已经过去了2个多小时。气象专家判断，开幕式结束前，“鸟巢”将不会下雨。
23时40分，消雨作业成功结束，此时与北京专家们一起工作到深夜的俄罗斯水文气象总局大气技术处处长、人工消减雨专家柯涅夫教授最后一次仔细查看了“作业”后的区域探测资料，说：“确实没有问题了，北京气象部门的这次人工影响天气作业非常有序，只有拥有强大的组织工作，才能顺利完成这样大规模的作业。” ▲ Collapse

画卷的掀开，很有创意，用什么高科技来着？咋看去大场面很有张的武侠电影遗风。用动作和服装的变化来变换场景，几千人整齐划一地改变背景，这些动作就够练的。主题歌却过于抒情，不能像HAND IN HAND那么容易传唱。

One thing Zhang Yimou is good at is he ties all his choreography to a central theme. It was clear that behind all the pomp and circumstance, and national pride for that matter, there was a strong message of peace on earth and goodwill to men, with an even stronger emphasis towards the future and future generations.
I'm glad he had the sense not to do an encore of that 短裙琵琶舞 I guess both people and society mature over time.
BTW, they said it was sweltering hot in the stadium - I noticed it was hot enough for Bush to take off his jacket. A summer night in Beijing - I can imagine.

我也挺喜欢展开历史画卷这一手法. 但一开始几个舞蹈演员在画面上摸爬滚打就不很欣赏了. 据说结幕式上还要在那张他们用身体比划出来的 "山水画" 上作一些文章, 贯穿始终. Or at least that's the impression I got from the commentators' comments.

胡锦涛与各国贵宾步向宴会厅时，左边是美国总统布什夫妇，右边是国际奥委会主席罗格夫妇。看来这是中方刻意安排，给了布什很大面子。当然，根据布什总统支持北京奥运和维护中美友好关系的表现，这也是合情合理。即将卸任的美国总统，也是在为今后的中美友好关系铺路。
