Not usually, it depends on how much time I have. I like to send personalised email greetings but this year I have a translation job due for delivery on the 28th so don´t really have time to faff about looking for things online and customise them, so I am merely replying to those I receive.
I might send the odd new year greeting though... in fact, while I´m here, I´ll seize the day and wish all our proz colleagues (or sparring partners) a very Happy and Fruitful New year in 2012!

Sending a xmas card or holiday card to a customer may be a good PR move in the best of days. Planning to send printed cards with a small handwritten message is the best. I am not attracted to email season's cards because they feel intangible and impersonal, even with the best intentions.

My usual practice is to send paper Xmas cards to clients (including agencies) and quick messages to other friends and colleagues. I am thinking about changing this policy for next year, as I never get replies in card form from people I send cards to. Maybe I'll just stick to e-cards and messages next year.

but I suppose I should send out a greeting.
I get emails from some clients and in that case I will often respond in kind. If it's some agency I've registered with but have never worked for I ignore them.
I did get a couple of actual cards in the mail this year...one with a cute origami ornament. I don't have a tree but stuck it on my mantlepiece.
In the meantime, happy Holidays, Happy St Stephen and St John, Happy new year!
