Hello All,
I am going to spend a month in Germany.
Please can you advise the budget for normal daily lunch and dinner, say in a 2-3 star hotels.
What about bread or other kind of fast food in a coffee place?

So you are staying the whole time on spot? I would look for a studio or small flat. There are places on the net where you can book flats.
Travel agencies get hotel rooms much cheaper, so look for a flight + hotel offer. Otherwise a hotel room will cost you at least about 80 Euro per night, including breakfast. When in Nuremberg a year ago we ate local food (pork and sauerkraut or knödel) and paid about 10 Euro per meal, without drinks. Asian food is rather cheaper.

Will you be staying near a university?
I don't know about Nuremberg, but at my local university you could also go and eat there as a guest. The meal prices are usually pretty cheap, even for guests (below 5€ for a full lunch, as far as I know).
You could contact Nuremberg's university and find out if that would be an option for you.

It would cost 220 Euro per week. A hotel room at least 600 Euro.
The advantage is you can cook your own meals. When staying at one place I find it dull to eat breakfast in hotels.
If you stay in Nuremberg until December you can't miss the great Christmas fair, the whole city is one big fair.

It's a very common way of living for young people; there's always someone around to chat, you can cook and eat together. Usually it doesn't cost as much, it's certainly much cheaper than a hotel and also much less anonymous.

I will stay there and pay for the lunch and dinner on my own only. The hotel fee is covered by my sponsor.
What about the rate for internet wifi in a 02-03 star hotel and at an internet pub?

You should be able to find a hotel with free wifi internet access. Wifi is now offered in most hotels.
It is also available free of charge in many cafes and public spaces.
If you have a laptop computer with you, you should be able to avoid paying for internet access during your trip. You might want to mention to your sponsor that wifi access at the hotel is important to you.
