Якими правилами транскрипції/транслітерації ви користуєтеся для перекладу назв компаній, географічних назв тощо? (Підозрюю, що ніякими.)
Є, наприклад, таке джерело:

(Під заголовком «Правила транслітерування» можна завантажити файли.)
Ті правила досить зрозумілі й доречні. Щоправда, мене дивує відсутність букви «и».

Оцими завжди користувалася, бо зазвичай доводиться транслітерувати прізвища або географічні назви:
http://zakon2.rada.gov.ua/laws/show/55-2010-п
В них "и" є:) Вони, щоправда, 2010 року, але у статті за Вашим посиланням взагалі 2001 рік вказаний...

Дякую. Знаю такий. Але він "українського алфавіту латиницею", а мене більше цікавить навпаки -- з іноземних мов (здебільшого англійської) кирилицею.

До речі, є ще такий непоганий документ:

Додала у закладинки. Ще від країни, для якої перекладають, транслітерація залежить. Наприклад, для Німеччини буде Kiew, а не Kyiv.
