Hi all,

I wonder if anyone can tell me the procedure for having an English > Italian translation notarized.

It's for a legal case in Italy, taken out by someone here in the UK. The documents are here in London. Do they have to be notarised in Italy, or can an Italian speaking notary stamp them here?

What's the usual procedure?

Many thanks for your help.

Cheers,

David

You might try asking in the Italian forum. They may have a better idea about the procedures in Italy.

You might also want to inquire Sep 21, 2012

at the Italian Embassy or their Consular offices in UK. They might even notarize it for you, but I'm not sure about that. I know the US Embassy/Consulate does for some things.

Thank you both for your advice,

It seems that all I need to do is have a SWORN translator do the work (no notarization necessary). This isn't confirmed but if this is not the case, I'll update this post.

Cheers,

David
