This can't be so difficult to answer.

Hello Nuno,
Just wondering if you received any reply on this or could resolve your issue. I am also trying to configure mail.proz.com to use SSL/TLS but the email client cannot connect to the server with that same setup information.
Thanks in advance!

Security certificate problem | Apr 4, 2018 |
I am having issues with my hosted email as well since yesterday. "Cannot verify server identity".
I guess it is the time of the year when ProZ had to renew its server security certificates. I have had this problem before, and I was able to solve it by manually "trusting" the new certificate. I just did that on Thunderbird, and the error message is gone, but I am not sure it has actually solved the problem, because I did the same thing yesterday and after a day passed, the problem came back... I guess it is the time of the year when ProZ had to renew its server security certificates. I have had this problem before, and I was able to solve it by manually "trusting" the new certificate. I just did that on Thunderbird, and the error message is gone, but I am not sure it has actually solved the problem, because I did the same thing yesterday and after a day passed, the problem came back.
However, on my iPad I cannot do this, as there is no manual trusting option anymore (after iOS 11 or so). It seems that certificate has to be listed in the "Trust store".
The crux of the problem appears to be that the name of my mail server (mail.katalinmcclure.com) is not the same as the name on the certificate (melo.host.proz.com), and also there is no organization name on the certificate (it says "Unknown").
I would appreciate quick guidance and help in fixing this issue, as my Proz hosted email is my work email. (As I assume the case with many of us who use the hosting service by ProZ.)

Same problem here too! Are you looking into it, Proz? | | | @Rebecca Hendry | Apr 5, 2018 |
Rebecca, I suggest you send in a Support Request - I did, too, after posting here - I am not sure who is reading this forum and when.
(I have note received any reply yet to my Support Request.)

Hi Katalin,
I have done so and am also waiting for a response. I’m sure we can’t be the only ones having this issue on our iDevices. And like you, this is my work email so it’s important that this is resolved ASAP. | |

Server settings | Apr 5, 2018 |
This is what I received from Support:
Dear Katalin,
If you want to use a secure connection, you should be able to change your incoming and outgoing email servers to melo.host.proz.com.
All of the rest of the settings should stay the same.
Best regards,

The explanation here still says we should use our own domain name for the mailserver settings:
