I made a mistake and cleaned up again a file that I had already cleaned up and corrected its format manually. Now I only see the file I cleaned up recently, but the other one (the first one) wasoverwritten. Is there any way to recover it? I will be very grateful for any help. AT

Firstly, when asking about a piece of SW with multiple versions it's often essential to know which one you're using (and maybe the Word version also).
Secondly, I don't understand how you can clean up a file that's already been cleaned.
In any case, if you changed the format before re-cleaning it, you could just take the original, put WF on automatic (Shift+Ctrl+Pg Down, IIRC) and re-translate it. I think you should get the original translation back that way.

If you don't get an answer here, the people at WF (Yasmin M., etc...) are excellent at helping out. ▲ Collapse

From this statement I gather you're using WFP, not WFC.

I doubt it.
In fact, in none of the CAT tools I use do I get an overwrite warning if I try to re-generate the target file after I've manually edited the target file. For this reason I personally never actually open the generated target file in the location where it gets generated -- instead, I regard the generated file as a temporary file, and I copy it to the main job folder on my Desktop before I open it and make any edits to it.
