Rented holiday accommodation
Term being used in connection with holiday insurance policy for rented holiday accommodation.
The problem I have is that the document talks about both an 'acompte' payable on the amount of the holiday (= [booking] deposit) AND a 'garantie locative' (also referred to as a 'caution') which is the kind of deposit you leave when renting to cover for possible damage etc. I'm referring to it for the moment as 'rental deposit', but this seems to me clumsy and ambiguous, since it COULD be referring to the advance down-payment (or deposit) towards the rent.
Can anyone come up with a succinct alternative avoiding this sort of ambiguity? Please...!

Thanks, of course, too, to the other answerers; in the end, I chose this option as being simple, clear and 'plain language'"

Mostly people make hotel reservations and perhaps after securing a better offer ignore to cancel the initial reservation.

(Tenants') Bond
As in site below.
New Zealand sites speak of Tenancy Bonds, but in this context I think Bond alone would do.
