Does your translation business need a boost? Do you have trouble raising your fees? Have you ever had problematic clients who don't understand what is needed to do a good translation? Do you find it difficult to refuse or accept a job? Lacking visibility? Do you want to let potential clients know you're available without appearing desperate for work?

This short yet comprehensive course deals with translator/agency/client relationships: how to find customers and keep them.

Topics covered include: Do's and Dont's on accepting and applying for jobs; showing availability; outsourcing; setting and negotiating fees; explaining credentials and experience; CV/resumé/ads; recommendations; blacklists; dealing with "difficult" clients or problematic jobs and avoiding potential conflicts; visibility; communication with the client and extra services you can provide before, during and after a project.

To Use VoIP (microphone and speakers or headset):

• Required: Fast Internet connection (384 kbps or more recommended)

• NOT required: Microphone - attendees can communicate with the trainer through incorporated chat.

Recommendations

• For the visual section of the training course, we recommend that you have a 64kbps link. This means using an ISDN line or Broadband. Wireless connection is NOT recommended.
• For the audio section of the training course, we recommend that you have a headset or speakers.
• We recommend that you log in 30 minutes in advance of the start time to prepare for the training course.

I received an e-mail about this course saying that registration was $16. Now I clicked on it with the possibility of registering for it and see that it says $28. Why are you sending out the wrong information in e-mails?
