Garbure: a hearty stew that includes cabbage, beans, and salted or preserved duck, goose, turkey or pork, speciality of the southwest

I'm afraid I can't give you the English word for that.

I can only say that the French definition of garbure states that garbure is a soup made of cabbage, rye bread, bacon, ham and confit in South-Western France.

We say also garbure béarnaise.
