M.A. NTOUMBOU NFONKA was born in Yaounde, Cameroun in 1978. She earned a B.A Degree in English and French from the University of Yaounde I Department of Foreign languages and civilisations, and a M.A degree in technical translation from the Institute of Transla...tion and Interpretation (ISTI). Considering a life-long Multilanguage experience (schooling, travelling, teaching, working) and a blend of official and private (Part-time freelance jobs) translatorship with the Ministries of Public Health, Posts and Telecommunication, Economy, basic Education and Public Works in Cameroon and for major country based international organisations related to health and the environment, she owns a Subject matter expertise in the domain of Tropical diseases -cholera, malaria, influenza- and other pandemic diseases - Aids, Sexually Transmittable Diseases- of which she has conducted significant translation projects for African regional organisations (HTC Assessment report on the evaluation of the fight against HIV/Aids, malaria and tuberculosis in the SADC Region). Her work mainly concerns elaborating terminological entries, editing and translating web contents and communication aids, drafting technical factsheet for sensitization programs, translating flyers and strategy papers. Through a Continuing Professional Development, Miss NTOUMBOU NFONKA has been trained on medical technology for the purpose of being a Linguist/Subject Matters Expert in the health domain. She conducts a pool of translators/LSP-SMEs within a partnership online, A&F Integrated Language Solutions Partners, which she initiated, for a pro-active and goal-oriented service in Africa for the health translation industry. With a high knowledge of the importance of communication skills, she is also pervaded by some corporate communication techniques and Administrative writing.
