I have been working as a translator throughout the last 15 years, as a complement to my main occupations (academic research, organization of academic seminars and conferences, writing and editing). I am currently following a Master's programme in legal translation.

I have regularly made translations, primarily for academic purposes (in Political Theory, International Relations, Sociology, Anthropology or Cultural Studies), but also in relation to the subject of ecology. I have also carried out other works such as technical or cultural translations. In addition, when it has been necessary, I have performed interpretation for seminars or conferences, which I really take pleasure in doing. Several times I have needed to stop this work in order to concentrate on other occupations, but I always return to it, because writing and translation is in some sense a vocation for me.

Throughout said experiences I have concentrated mainly on French to Spanish translation, but I have often worked with Catalan and English as well. The majority of my studies were in French and English, and I have also worked as a teacher of French, Spanish and Catalan.  I am always trying to improve my language skills and learn new languages; at the moment I am learning German and Portuguese.
