I'm a native Romanian freelance translator, interpreter and voiceover artist with 15 years of experience.

From 2001 until 2008 I worked as editor, translator, presenter and, occasionally, live interpreter for the English Service of Radio Romania International (the international channel of the Romanian public radio). I was in charge of translating, editing, presenting and producing radio programs like news bulletins, financial and business analyses, IT, sports, EU related programmes, history and current affairs.

In 2008 I moved to Brussels and became a full-time freelance translator providing translation, linguistic QA, interpretation and voiceover services to international agencies and organizations based in Brussels and abroad. I have extensive experience in localisation (web and software), technical translations
(user manuals for anything from cigarettes weighing machines to ultrasound systems for GE Healthcare) and I have also worked a lot on medical related documentation for clinical studies (informed consent forms, patient information, clinical studies agreements, descriptions of research protocols). I have also provided translation and linguistic QA services for EU institutions websites and Europarl TV programmes.

In 2014 I earned my Cambridge University CELTA Certificate (Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults) in Brussels.

Also in 2014 I moved to Romania, more exactly to Cluj-Napoca, where I'm doing a 2 year MA in Conference Interpretation at the Babes-Bolyai University (part of the EMCI network), expected to graduate in june 2016.

Currently I'm working as a freelance translator, conference interpreter and voiceover artist.

I'm a proficient user of SDL Trados Studio 2015 and other CAT tools and I have access to a professional audio recording studio for voice recordings.
