My professional background is English Linguistics (for those less familiar with the concept, Linguistics could be simply called 'the science of language' and it includes subdomains of study such as Morphology, Stylistics, Semantics, Syntax, Translations Studies, or Phonetics and Phonology) and Translation. I am also very familiar with ESL [English as a Second Language]/EFL [English as a Foreign Language], ESP [English for Specific purposes], Semiotics {the science of signs] and Cognitive Linguistics. I have been teaching English and translating into and from English for more than 20 years (19 years I taught at university level: undergraduate and postgraduate). I am currently teaching English in the UK working with KS3 and KS4 students (I hold a QTS issued by the British Department for Education) and I am obviously DBS checked.
