My passion has always been foreign languages and how to accurately convey their meaning in Italian.
The key words of my work are accuracy and reliability. When I translate my goal is to convey the message of the source text in the most correct and clearest way possible, without losing the perspective of how an Italian text should be written. I’ve also learned to find the best creative solutions for what cannot be expressed in the target language, solutions which are still consistent with the source message.
Before becoming a full-time translator in 2011, translations and interpretation jobs were part of my positions. My employment history includes an extensive background in tourism, business and commerce. As a translator I specialise in subtitling (syncing, formatting and proofreading) on a variety of topics. I’ve worked mostly on subtitles for films, TV shows and corporate videos, but I’ve also translated and reviewed marketing texts, legal documents, educational material, scientific articles, academic papers and PhD theses, and transcribed scientific seminars, lectures and depositions both in Italian and in English.
Bachelor degrees in Translation and Interpretation, and in Intercultural Studies.
Master degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures.
