I was born and raised in Montreal, Canada by Italian parents. I attended a bilingual high school (English/French) and completed my University studies in English. Armed with a Masters degree in translation from Concordia University (2001), I set off to Italy to put what I learned into practice. I was immediately hired by MBDA Italia Inc. (A world leader in Missile Systems). For 5 years I was their head interpreter/translator. My duties involved translating Italian operating manuals into English, simultaneous interpreting at press conferences, proofreading press releases and provided language training for non-English-speaking employees.
In 2007 I was recruited by the Canadian Armed Forces Language School (CFLS) in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec. I provided foreign language training to CAF members who would fill Military Attaché’s positions or other staff related functions abroad in conjunction with CAF’s operational needs. I represented CAF at national and international conferences held in the field of teaching English and French. I proofread student manuals and SLE language tests for the Public Service Commission. In 2010, I decided to take advantage of my diverse work experience and formal University training to venture into a freelance business.

Recent work experience
During my free time, I work as a freelance translator, interpreter and proofreader. I work for private agencies, language schools, clients and school boards in the Montreal area. My areas of expertise include: Tourism, military, defense, human resources, medical, technical and education.
Language Consultant and Interpreter for MBDA Italia. Current duties involve the translation of operating manuals and simultaneous interpreting between British BAe Dynamics, Matra and Alenia Italia.

Language Training Work
Certified ESL teacher trainer for the Commission Scolaire de Montreal and the Commission Scolaire de la Pointe-de-l’île (all levels).
I was a senior teacher at the Berlitz language school in Rome (Torre Argentina location) and was responsible for implementing their newly developed “kids program.”
I was the administrator of the “Global English” web based language program for MBDA engineers and designers. I monitored their progress, conducted the language tests and ensured the successful completion of the program.
