Welcome to my profile! I'm a full time freelance Translator/Proofreader/Project Manager since 2012, specialized in Marketing, Transcreation, Tourism & Travel, Health & Beauty, Law (General), Apps & Website Localization, and Subtitling.
As a child, I had a passion for books, words and English language.
At this time my goal was to become a translator, and when I was a teenager, I translated the whole English book "Animal Farm", from George Orwell, during my free time, just for the pleasure to find the right word at the right place... it took me months, but I was so proud when I finally achieved it!
I had the chance to spend a year in San Francisco after I finished high school, which allowed me to be totally immersed in American culture, and when I came back to France, I started studying English literature at the University for a year, but finally switched to a Sales and Marketing degree.
A few years later I made out my own business with my partner, which we successfully ran for 15 years.
When we sold our business and chose to move to Spain in 2010, I decided to go back to my first passion: translation.
I had the great opportunity to start in the translation industry with a young translation startup based in NYC, where I could learn a lot about the industry, rules and standards. This allowed me to grow an extensive experience in translation and proofreading as I have been responsible for final QA for all the French translations for this company from 2012 to 2024. I'm also collaborating with several translation agencies since 2016. Needless to say that attention to detail is my priority, making sure to deliver an error-free, native, fluent translation to the target audience while respecting the source message.
In addition, my ongoing experience as a Project Manager allows me to understand clients' expectations and I believe this is a major asset to deliver a perfect final product.
These past 8 years, I've been mostly focusing on Marketing translation/transcreation and I'm working on a weekly basis for a number of major brands on a wide range of content, from campaign localization to customer emails and cultural consultation before the launch of new products, but I also truly enjoy movie subtitling and game translation.
