Texte source - anglais Music exists on a physical level. A string produces a tone by vibrating at a specific speed, and today we say that the concert pitch of A equals 440 vibrations per minute (measured in hertz, Hz), and that it becomes audible by making the molecules of the surrounding air vibrate at the same speed.
When these vibrations meet a human listener’s ear, complicated perceptual and cognitive operations in the brain lead him/her to the conclusion that the tone is the A played by the oboe to initiate the orchestra’s tuning.
‘Concert pitch’ is in fact a historical compromise. At the end of the seventeenth century an A was equal to 415 Hz. In modern orchestras like the Berlin Philharmonic the pitch is 445 Hz, which gives the orchestral sound some extra brilliance.
Today the vibration speed of a note can be measured exactly. Of course, this was not possible for Pythagoras. What he measured – exactly – were the mathematical proportions between tones and intervals, as produced by a string. Using the monochord he discovered a series of laws of the relationship between length of a string and pitch.
An example: If the string of the monochord vibrates freely the fundamental note corresponds to the string length of ‘1’ (e.g. 440 Hz). If the string is divided into halves, they vibrate at double speed (2:1 – 880 Hz). If it is divided into thirds, the vibration will be three times faster (3:1 – 1320 Hz).
There is a regular, mathematical (proportional) relationship between string length and vibration speed. However, this is all physics, numbers, ‘body’.
How does the human mind experience music at the psychological level? We experience vibrations as notes, and (maybe) the interplay of notes as music.
String lengths and vibration speeds are measurable, exact proportions in the physical world – quantities. Notes (and music) are qualities – the vibrational phenomena, as they are interpreted by the human mind.
When studying the vibrations from a qualitative point of view it is revealed that the string divided into halves produces the same note as before, but an octave higher. The octave is a fundamental principle of acoustics and psychoacoustics, and everyone has experienced it. Without the octave it would not be possible for men and women (and children) to sing in unison.
The octave is a universal phenomenon, and music (defined as humanly produced sound ordered in time) would also be impossible without it. But the octave can be distributed and ordered in modes and scales in many ways, and these are culturally specific.

Ciò che il filosofo poteva misurare con esattezza erano le proporzioni matematiche tra toni e intervalli prodotti da una corda. Usando il monocorde egli scoprì una serie di leggi riguardanti la relazione tra la lunghezza della corda e l’altezza sonora.
Un esempio: se la corda di un monocorde vibra liberamente la nota fondamentale corrisponde alla lunghezza della corda pari a ‘1’ (ad esempio 440 Hz). Se la corda è divisa in due metà, queste vibrano ad una doppia velocità (2:1 – 880 Hz) e se è divisa in terzi, la vibrazione sarà tre volte più veloce (3:1 – 1320 Hz).
Esiste, quindi, una relazione matematica regolare (proporzionale) tra la lunghezza della corda e la velocità della vibrazione. Siamo, comunque, nell’ambito della fisica, dei numeri, della ‘corporeità’.
Come viene sperimentata la musica dalla mente umana a livello psicologico? Sperimentiamo le vibrazioni come note e (forse) l’interazione tra le note come musica.
Le diverse lunghezze delle corde e la diversa velocità delle vibrazioni sono misurabili, sono proporzioni esatte nel mondo fisico – quantità. Le note (e la musica) sono qualità sonore, fenomeni vibratori interpretati dalla mente umana.
Quando studiamo le vibrazioni da un punto di vista qualitativo, troviamo che la corda divisa a metà produce la stessa nota precedente ma un’ottava più alta. L’ottava è un principio fondamentale dell’acustica e della psicoacustica e ognuno di noi lo ha sperimentato. Senza l’ottava non sarebbe possibile per uomini e donne (e bambini) cantare all’unisono.
L’ottava è un fenomeno universale ed anche la musica (definita come suono prodotto da esseri umani e ordinato nel tempo) sarebbe impossibile senza di essa. L’ottava può, tuttavia, essere distribuita e ordinata in modi e scale differenti a seconda delle specificità delle diverse culture.

Texte source - anglais High blood levels of CRP (C reactive protein) are associated with an increased risk of coronary events; moreover, statins reduce CPR levels (JAMA 2001; 286:64). Therefore, according to these assumptions, can CPR be used to decide which patients need statins in primary prevention? Some researchers analysed the data of a randomized and previously published primary prevention trial in order to answer this question. The trial investigated the results of lovastatin and placebo in subjects with normal levels of LDL and low levels of HDL (JAMA 1998; 279: 1615). The patients were divided into four groups: both LDL and CPR below average values; LDL above and CPR below average values; LDL below and CPR above average values; both above average value. Cardiac events were compared in each group for a 5-year follow-up period. Lovastatin showed no benefit in the low LDL and CPR group. Lovastatin significantly reduced coronary events in the low LDL and high CRP (RR 0.58) group and in the high LDL and low CPR (RR 0.38) group. Risk reduction did not appear significant in the both high LDL and CPR group (RR 0.68; CI 95% 0.42-1.10).
Comments: In primary prevention, benefits obtainable with statins in patients with normal LDL levels are limited to those with high levels of CPR. In patients with high LDL levels, benefit is limited to those who show also high CPR levels. CPR value becomes therefore an important parameter to decide on the usefulness of a pharmacological prevention.

La lovastatina ha diminuito in modo significativo gli eventi coronarici nel gruppo con LDL basso e PCR elevata (RR 0.58) e nel gruppo con LDL elevato e PCR bassa (RR 0.38). Nel gruppo con entrambi elevati, la riduzione del rischio non è risultata significativa ((RR 0.68; IC 95% 0.42-1.10).
Commento: in prevenzione primaria i benefici ottenibili con le statine nei pazienti con LDL normale sono limitati a coloro che presentano elevati livelli di PCR. Nei pazienti con LDL elevato, il beneficio della statina è limitato a quelli che possiedono anche livelli elevati di PCR. Il valore della PCR diventa pertanto un parametro importante per decidere o meno l’utilità di una prevenzione farmacologica.

Texte source - italien L’artista si confronta costantemente con lo spazio che lo circonda, esplorando una possibilità di metamorfosi incessante ed instancabile delle forme, mutando di volta in volta la prospettiva dell’opera e dell’osservatore in un gioco interminabile di rimandi e sottili equivoci; per l’artista le installazioni sono una chiave di lettura del reale nella sua impermanenza. Nelle sue opere in legno, marmo e metallo, sembra aprire al non finito, chiudere una forma significa condannarla all’immobilità, mentre cogliendo la forma nella sua fluidità s’invita lo spettatore-osservatore al viaggio della conoscenza. La semplicità complessa, portata avanti nelle sue realizzazioni, con una chiara vocazione all’essenziale di matrice orientale, è certamente una delle cifre stilistiche dell’artista. Ma il riferimento insostituibile è all’arte antica italiana, allo stiacciato donatelliano, ai Primitivi Italiani, ed anche a Klee, Brancusi, al Costruttivismo ed al Suprematismo. Artista colto e dalle molteplici anime si cimenta nella formula della continua interrogazione sul reale, dove nulla è veramente assoluto, tutto va indagato e messo in discussione per tentare di conquistare una scintilla di verità.
La Personale vedrà esposte 100/150 opere adeguandosi allo spazio espositivo concesso e rispettandone l’integrità storico-artistica, si auspica ad una durata di uno o due mesi a partire dal 2018. Verrà pubblicato un importante catalogo e verrà messa a punto una comunicazione innovativa che sarà frutto di una creativa collaborazione tra l’artista, il curatore, l’ente ospitante patrocinante e lo sponsor.

The irreplaceable reference is, anyway, to ancient Italian art, Donatello's "stiacciato" technique, the Italian Primitives, and to Klee, Brancusi, Constructivism and Suprematism. This cultured and multifaceted artist tries out the formula of an ongoing query on reality, where nothing is truly absolute but everything has to be investigated and questioned in order to try to conquer even one spark of the truth.
This solo exhibition will present 100/150 works to be adapted to the exhibiting available space while respecting its historical-artistic integrity. A duration of one or two months starting from 2018 is desirable. A valuable catalogue will be published and an innovative communication will take place stemming from a creative collaboration among the artist, the curator, the sponsoring local host and the sponsor.

1.1 Area of applicability
The Music Division manages the rights of public performance of musical works, included cinema shows, radio and TV broadcast and the rights of mechanical duplication of the same works.
The distribution of the proceeds for copyrights is net of the share allocable to SIAE (hereafter also called “Society”) on the fees for the use of protected works and net of possible sums destined to charities and to the sustain to national arts as set out in chapter 17.
The modalities, the criteria and the timing of distribution of the proceeds carry out from the Society for the use of the works managed by the Music Division are established by the following dispositions.
1.2 General principles
The revenues distribution criteria are established by the SIAE Management Board, pursuant to the opinion of the Music Commission, according to Article 15, paragraph 7, and Article 18, paragraph 1, of the Charter.
The distribution process is aimed at determining and distributing the amounts due to the entitled parties in compliance with the principles of effectiveness, efficiency, convenience and transparency, that is in the most accurate possible way and within reasonable limits of costs and times.
In order to rightly distribute the proceeds, the Society needs specific information concerning the uses of the protected works that the same proceeds refer to.
The Society divides the net proceeds mainly with the analytical method, based on the contained detailed information of the musical programs transmitted by the users, the TV/Radio broadcasters’ reports or of other types of documentation (e.g. report for online music). In the event in which the user is not able to provide complete information or in a manageable format from the SIAE, the Society may use alternative methods to acquire information for the distribution, also through techniques of digital fingerprinting .
In order to economize on its work, the Society may employ also alternative methods to acquire the information, such as the sampling of the received programs and surveys on target samples carried out by specialized technicians.
The Management Board, having consulted the Music Commission, taken into account the volume of the proceeds, the criteria of managerial economization and the availability of the necessary information to the purpose of distribution, may derogate from the distribution criteria specified in the present document, approving specific dispositions by means of decree, ensuring at the same time a fair and effective distribution of the amounts to the entitled parties.
1.2.1 Distribution of the sums attributed to single musical works
The sums that, because of the operations foreseen by these criteria, are attributed to different musical compositions are distributed and payed to the owners of the artworks according to the distribution quotas indicated in declaration bulletins deposited and acquired in the Society artworks archive pursuant to the article 33 of the General Regulation. The distribution quotas of the single owners of the artworks are indicated in the statement.
The amounts accredited for each musical composition by the Sister Societies located abroad are indicated in the statements of the associated societies, in a distinguished way for each Society and to such extend that, taken into account the quotas possibly withheld by said Societies, the distribution corresponds to the conditions established by the statement of income, without prejudice to the special regulatory provisions concerning the transfer of artworks abroad.

La ripartizione degli incassi per diritti d’autore è effettuata al netto della quota di spettanza della SIAE (di seguito indicata anche come “Società”) sui compensi per l’utilizzazione delle opere tutelate e al netto di eventuali somme destinate a fini assistenziali e di incoraggiamento delle arti nazionali di cui al capitolo 17.
Le modalità, i criteri e le tempistiche di ripartizione degli incassi effettuati dalla Società per l’utilizzazione delle opere amministratedalla Divisione Musica sono stabiliti dalle seguenti disposizioni.
1.2 Principi generali
I criteri di ripartizione degli incassi sono stabiliti dal Consiglio di Gestione SIAE, sentito il parere della Commissione Musica, coerentemente con l’Articolo 15, comma 7, e l’Articolo 18, comma 1,dello Statuto.
Il processo di ripartizione è finalizzato alla determinazione ed alla conseguente attribuzionedegli importi dovuti agli aventi diritto nel rispetto di principi di efficacia, efficienza, economicità e trasparenza, ovvero nel modo più accurato possibile ed entro limiti ragionevoli di costi e tempi.
Per procedere correttamente alla ripartizione degli incassi, la Società necessita di specifiche informazioni relative alle utilizzazioni delle opere tutelate cui gli incassi stessi siriferiscono.
La Società ripartisce gli incassi netti in via principale con il metodo analitico, basato sulle informazioni di dettaglio contenute nei programmi musicali trasmessidagli utilizzatori, nei report trasmessi dalle Emittenti TV/Radio o in altri tipi di documentazione (es. report per musica on line). Nel caso in cui, l’utilizzatore non sia in grado di fornire informazioni complete o in un formato gestibile dalla SIAE, la Società può ricorrere a metodi alternativi di acquisizionedelle informazioni per la ripartizione, anche attraverso tecniche di fingerprinting digitale.
Al fine di perseguire l’economicità del proprio operato, la Società può impiegare anche metodi alternativi per l’acquisizione delle informazioni, quali il campionamento dei programmi ricevuti e rilevazioni a campione effettuate da tecnici specializzati.
Il Consiglio di Gestione, sentita la Commissione Musica, tenuto conto del volume degli incassi, dei criteri di economicità gestionali, nonché della disponibilità delle informazioni necessarie ai fini ripartitori,può derogare ai criteri di ripartizione esposti nel presente documento, approvando disposizioni specifiche mediante delibera, pur garantendo una giusta, equa ed efficiente distribuzione degli importi dovuti agli aventi diritto.
1.2.1 Ripartizione delle somme attribuite alle singole opere musicali
Le somme che, a seguito delle operazioni previste dai presenti criteri, sono attribuite alle varie composizioni musicali, vengono ripartite e liquidate ai titolari delle opere in base alle quote di riparto indicate nei bollettini di dichiarazione depositati ed acquisiti nella banca opere della Società, secondo quanto stabilito dall’art. 33 del Regolamento Generale. Nei rendiconti sono indicate le quotedi riparto dei singoli intestatari, titolari delle opere.
Gli importi accreditati per ciascuna composizione musicale dalle Società consorelle all’estero, sono indicati, sui rendicontidegli associati, distintamente per ciascuna Società di provenienza, e in misura tale che, tenuto conto delle quote eventualmente trattenute da dette Società, il riparto corrisponda alle condizioni stabilite dal bollettino di dichiarazione, salvi gli effetti delle speciali disposizioni regolamentari riguardanti la cessione di opere all’estero.
