1.1 Exel y Tyco mutually undertake and agree with the other at all times hereafter to keep all information which is of a confidential or secret nature including without limitation information relating to forecasts, prices, discounts, handling costs, sales statistics, markets, inventory information, customers, personnel and technical operational and administrative systems (the “Confidential Information”) of the other and the other’s customers which they may learn in connection with the performance of this Agreement in strict confidence and secrecy and not to disclose the Confidential Information of the other or the other’s customer to any other person firm or company outside Exel’s or Tyco’s group of companies and their respective professional advisers and not to make use of the Confidential Information except only as may be necessary and bona fide in connection with its obligations under this Agreement. For the avoidance of doubt it is agreed that the Protected Information is Confidential Information of the party to which it relates.

1.3.1 Tyco agrees that it shall keep all Exel’s Protected Information strictly confidential and not use any of the Protected Information save as is necessary for the proper performance of its obligations under the Agreement and not disclose or make available or supply any of the Protected Information to any third party.
1.3.2 Exel agrees that it shall keep all Tyco’s Protected Information strictly confidential and not use any of the Protected Information save as is necessary for the proper performance of its obligations under this Agreement and not disclose or make available or supply any of the Protected Information to any third party.
1.4 Tyco and Exel agrees that the obligations imposed on each of them by clauses 15.1, 15.2 and 15.3 shall extend to any Protected Information or Confidential Information which has been or may have been supplied to them before the date of this Agreement, despite the fact that there was no written agreement in relation to such earlier disclosure.

The conscientious objector movements we have been speaking of in this volume are largely antimilitarist, nonviolent and progressive. That is to say, their conscientious objection is not an end in itself, but is part of a struggle for a different world.
When I (Hannah, a WRI staff member) talk to new people about conscientious objection (especially those people who are not activists), one of the first things I explain about WRI is that we are not conscientious objectors because we ourselves do not want to go to war for some political or moral reason – although that is of course a part of it. We are conscientious objectors because we don't want anyone else to go to war, either. That might sound obvious, but it means that conscientious objection can never, for us be an issue purely of individual rights. It is instead one strategy, and not the only strategy, towards a demilitarised society. Therefore, conscientious objectors often campaign with other antimilitarist movements who have adopted different strategies to work towards demilitarised societies, for example feminist antimilitarists, anti-arms trade campaigners, those working against particular wars or weapons, or against militarism in everyday life, amongst others. They also work with other movements for freedom and justice, because militarism will not be dismantled without also transforming the violent bases of human organisation more generally: patriarchy, racism, capitalism, and so on.

I am a Spanish native speaker and qualified translator living in London. I hold the Diploma in Translation (English to Spanish) from the Chartered Institute of Linguists in the UK, a postgraduate level qualification recognised internationally, and a B.A. (Hons.) in Politics, Philosophy and History from the University of London. I am also a very experienced language teacher of French, Spanish and English.
