Bio
My name is Andrés Paredes. I work as a freelance translator and reviser, mainly in two language combinations: English > Spanish and French > Spanish. I have an MSc degree in Biology and an MA degree in Specialized Translation (English, French), besides other qualifications.
I have more than six years of experience as a full-time translator. Currently I work for agencies like TraduNet, Akzent, Caja Alta, Aire Traducciones, Translation Secrets or Appen Butler Hill, and final clients like Entorno Urbano and IMIDA. I have both lived and worked in the Netherlands, the USA, France, and Australia, developing my work and publications in English.
I am an advanced user of Trados Studio 2011, Trados Suite 2007 and memoQ, using them on a daily basis. I also work with tools like MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). With them, I have translated several million words in the last years.
