Bio
French is my native language and I came to Scotland 8 years ago.


I have spent many years studying ancient and modern languages (and gained a Master's degree and a PhD in Classics), as well as teaching grammar and translation methods to undergrad students (Latin and Ancient Greek; both unseens and prose compositions). I have been a private French tutor for some time, and I am also employed by the Berlitz Language school, the Lifelong Learning office and The Adult Education Programme. For these reasons, I know that I am a skilled, quick and efficient worker.


I have translated academic papers (History, Literature and Science) and literary texts, as well as administrative forms and CVs. I have also done the initial translation of a French play to be adapted for Broadway. I am a quick learner and would be happy to work in various specialist fields.


I am planning on taking the Diploma in Translation examination next January.
