Bio
« Everything that needs to be done, deserves to be well done »

« Tout ce qui doit être fait mérite d’être bien fait »

This motto was given to me by my parents when I was a kid, and lived by it since then.

I have worked in the fashion industry for almost 20 years as a senior inventory analyst and planer, and previously as an office clerk in various finance domains for a hydro-electric company, namely accounting, taxation, and investments departments for 8 years. In the course of my career, even thought it was not part of my official duties, I was often asked to translate and/or correct documents, because I wrote good French and English.

And now, I have decided to trade working with numbers for working with words instead, and most importantly, after thirty years of commuting three hours or more per day to school and then to work, I needed to work from home. Yes, I am a beginner in the translation field, everyone has to start somewhere, but I do have a lot of working experience, determination, and I love to take up new challenges. My co-workers would say about me that I am efficient, very resourceful and a perfectionist.

I have the latest version of SDL Trados, 2011, memoQ, and I also have the French corrector software Antidote.

So here I am, ready for a new start in translating various subjects, such as anything related to fashion, retail/wholesale, marketing, business, finance, arts & crafts, culinary, tourism and travel.
