In recent years, a process that combines both technologies – called the water-jet-guided laser – has come into use for micromachining. Although all three methods offer some common benefits, such as free-shape cutting and the absence of tool wear, they are fundamentally very different approaches, with their own advantages and drawbacks. Therefore, they are not employed in the same types of application.

The largest city, Anchorage, brings a taste of urban life to the wilderness, while to the south, the Kenai Peninsula offers a range of outdoor activities. Prince William Sound, a spectacular bay on the south coast, features superb scenery and wildlife-viewing. Southeast Alaska, an archipelago of stunning islands, boasts the state capital Junau, and a host of charming towns. The vast Interior, bisected by the Alaska Range, contains Fairbanks, the state’s second city, and Alaska’s portion of the Klondike goldfields. Southwest Alaska combines stark volcanic landscapes with fine fishing grounds, while Arctic and Western Alaska is a pristine wilderness.

Pourtant, la vie des hommes est profondément liée à la vie des plantes, puisqu’il profite de tout ce qu’elles produisent : oxygène, matières nutritives et substances chimiques, combustible, matériaux, etc. Si les plantes pouvaient parler avec notre langage (et notre égocentrisme), peut-être raconteraient-elles leur vie de la manière suivante.

My engineering education gave me a wide scientifical background which I chose to combine with my writing skills to work in technical communication. I worked for several years in the semiconductor industry, in charge of the technical communication of a Swiss then an Irish company, writing articles and conference papers in English. Then I worked as a technical writer for a manufacturer of medical devices. With these jobs, I acquired a good experience in technical writing in both English an French. I also worked for 2 years as a project manager for a US-based translation agency, improving my knowledge of the language industry.
