This course will consist of a series of interactive workshops designed to provide participants with a broad knowledge of English medical terminology. For the purpose of organization, each organ system will be presented and discussed separately. This includes basic anatomical terms, diagnostic procedures and common pathological conditions.

Students will learn how to analyze and understand English medical terminology, including prefixes, root words and suffixes. These are invaluable skills for translators specializing (or wish to specialize) in the medical field. They will also learn the basic anatomy of the human body, as well as common pathological conditions and diagnostic procedures common to each body system. In addition, students will be able to practice what they've learned through real-time exercises with instant feedback from the instructor.

There are no prerequisites for this course.
