Type of account supplied by Barclays France and other. To me, it just looks like a normal current account - am I wrong?

compte chèque dynamique

Yes, the "compte chèque dynamique" is Barclays France's ordinary checking/current account, see ref.
The "dynamique" bit comes from the fact that they pay a bit of interest on your balance, through a mechanism of automatic transfer of amounts above a defined level into an investment fund.
