: Nothing to do with the context here. We're talking about IMPEDANCE matching. / It's nothing to do with having identical sockets, it's about matching the impedance of the termination (plugged into the socket).

HOWEVER, this assumes that there is some special termination applied, which might not be the actual case — particualrly in view of the specific wording used in EN, which would more literally (but, I believe, less correctly!) translate as soemthing like 'ne sont pas terminés d'une façon adaptée' — which in itself intrioduces a different ambiguity!
