My career is in the Health Information Management sector in a hospital. I've often interpreted for patients' appointments at my work place, until a few years ago when the organization started using telephone interpreting from a local company. I also have interpreted sermons and entire church services. My most recent social interpreting was May 2013 when I traveled with a friend to Argentina to meet her family. My friend speaks English and Russian but no Spanish, her family only speak Spanish. We were able to have seamless conversations between the two groups. This trip reinforced my passion for languages!
