Texte source - anglais For over a century, Tawny Ports have been ageing in the Graham’s Lodge and for generations the Symington family have been selecting wines that show exceptional quality whilst still young, to be set aside to age. Only by creating
a wide selection of different ‘lotes’ (parcels) of wines in the cellar is it possible to maintain the high quality of Tawny Ports such as Graham’s 10, 20, 30 and 40 Years Old, as well as the rare single harvest Colheitas.
Many decades of work and investment have created a stock of 17,300 pipes of maturing wines in
seasoned oak casks.
Just as an artist requires the widest range of colours in order to create a masterpiece, so the utmost quality of a Tawny relies on the widest selection possible of maturing Port wines.
