Bio

My experience as a certified translator and proofreader is extensive in the localisation of pharmaceutical documents, but also of material pertaining to cardiology, oncology, medical devices, genetics and health care. Furthermore, in the last four years, I have had the opportunity to work on large volumes of documents, ranging from marketing brochures to IFUs, for a global leader in implant, restorative and regenerative dentistry.

I am a native French speaker with native-like proficiency in English acquired by studying, living and working in the United Kingdom since 2000. My excellent writing skills in both English and French combined with my rigorous, accurate and systematic proofing workflow, as well as the software I use, allow me to produce a quality end product that is both faithful to the source document and perfectly adapted to the target audience; a translation that does not look like a translation.

I have eleven years of experience as a biology and science teacher in the UK, mainly teaching A Level Biology (16 to 18-year-old students) in one of the best sixth form colleges in the country, where I prepared the more academically gifted students to pass the BioMedical Admissions Test (BMAT) used by top British universities like Oxford and Cambridge. Even if I value experience more than qualifications, I must mention that I have passed the Certified Translation Professional (CTP) examination from the Global Translation Institute, the Science and the General Units from the IoLET Diploma in Translation, and that I hold a BSc in General Biology from Montpellier University in France and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from King's College London.
