In my opinion, what’s healthy is getting enough sleep regardless of bedtime. For many years, I didn't go to bed before midnight, but nowadays I'm sleepy around 10:30 p.m. So, this is the best time for me… | | | | Lingua 5B Bosnie-Herzegovine Local time: 10:19 anglais vers français + ...

It depends on one's personal sleeping patterns and habits. There is no such thing as a general "best time to go to bed". | | | | | Around midnight or after midnight | Nov 5, 2025 |
I usually end dinner by 10:30 pm (later during weekends) and do the dishes. After, I watch some episodes or a movie before going to bed, and sometimes I might read a few pages of something that I find interesting.
Since my high school days, I was more like an owl, and I hated (still do!) waking up early, but I never fell asleep in any class because even now, once I'm up, I set in motion and can't sleep again.

However, my preference is not included among the ProZ alternatives: it's around 3 pm. I'm strongly in favour of an afternoon nap, and there are medical studies showing the benefits. I normally sleep for around 6 hours per night, plus another half to one hour in the afternoon.

ProZ has become a real sleep clinic, especially with the site being so slow these past weeks.
| | | | AllegroTrans (X) Royaume-Uni Local time: 09:19 français vers anglais + ... | Counter-question | Nov 14, 2025 |
