Maybe it's the fact that I'm working on a holiday, but I can't seem to get my head around this turn of phrase.
It's taken from a quiz. Basically, a brand of Champagne has taken famous quotes and inserted their name into them. Readers have to determine which quotes are authentic.

Ici tout est vrai. Ou presque. Pas une des citations de ce texte qui ne soit de Balzac ou Huysmans, de Baudelaire ou Villiers de l’Isle Adam, de Prévert, Truman Capote ou Jules Verne…Chez ces grands auteurs, on le sait, XXX est comme chez lui, chez les Russes comme les Américains, chez les anciens, les modernes, les obscurs, les flamboyants, dans leur imagination comme dans leur vie, sur leurs tables de création comme de récréation. Aussi, dans cette promenade littéraire, tout est vrai. Ou presque : à peine quelques apparitions de la marque XXX qui sont, disons… intempestives.

I think what they are trying to say is that not one of the quotes is not by one of these famous authors, simply that some of them have been altered slightly.
Trying to find a simple way of saying this!
