français term

ramener à

Non-PRO français vers anglais Autre
My good dictionary and I have been separated temporarily, can someone help with this term in this context?

compare (the proportions of) (in this case)

Ramener is one of those dreadful words to translate because it can mean so many different things in different circumstances.

Here, I'd say it refers to comparing overall figures to specific local figures, or, more specifically, comparing those sets of figures in view of their relative proportions.
