This is an excerpt from a long-winded text commenting on the EU Green Paper on Services of General Interest. It is driving me crazy: it is all bits taken from the Green Paper stuck together with short sentences.
As a matter of principle, I am curious to know what other people do about quotations from EU documents translated by their creme-de-la-creme translators in the most abominable English possible. Do you quote it, warts and all, or make it into something less dreadful?
