primeur

français vers anglais Autre Cuisine / culinaire Description of a chef\'s style
From the description of a chef's style on the website of a French hotel/restaurant.

Does anyone know the meaning of "primeur" here?

Here it is in context:

Going into UK English. Thanks in advance.

putting in front

I understand that the chef cooks in such a way that his dishes have several readings (flavours). In the front, the real flavour of each product no matter how sophisticated they may be.

It could also be moving forward or any other expression you like.

bringing to the fore

Similar to the suggestions already made - just another option you could consider.

Example sentence:

fresh, high-quality, handmade chocolates that bring natural flavours to the fore

Thanks, Sheila!
neutral Nikki Scott-Despaigne : This is nearly an "agree", but "allowing" would be more subtle (and accurate) than "bringing". But "to the fore" is spot on. So, "allowing.... to come to the fore".

Thanks - yes, I think 'allowing to come to the fore' is another possible alternative.
