I receive e-mail notifications from time to time, from proz.com informing me that I'm the featured pro on the home page. Excerpt from the e-mail:
If a few minutes have passed, but fewer than 15 minutes, you will be able to see yourself featured; see: http://www.proz.com/
But I've never been able to see myself on the page. 5 minutes after I received the e-mail I just see the regular home page after logging out:
Obviously the page can be scrolled down, but there's nothing there either (I didn't want to add 4 or 5 more extra screenshots showing the sections of the page as one scrolls down, and clutter this post).
I thought I perhaps appear as the featured pro in my language pair and made a "Hire" search, but I wasn't there either (not on top or anything like that).
Could you pls help me with this? Is there sthg I'm missing?

But when I was logged in within that 15 minutes of the e-mail, I was just seeing my usual page on proz.com, which is the same now:
Basically there's no difference between the time I'm the featured pro and I'm just a regular user.

When switching to the old version of the page, you can see yourself as the featured translator during those 15 minutes of fame.
But my questions are: Is that so important to you? Or do you think it's one more bug of the website and your question here is just to alert the staff?
It sounds like the new version isn't fully stable to show the featured translator...

- Honestly, it's not so important. But when you experience the same issue for like 50 times throughout the years, and finally decide to check the forums and see nothing about such an issue, you think to yourself "It could be a good idea to post about this and perhaps understand what's going on".

- Honestly, it's not so important. But when you experience the same issue for like 50 times throughout the years, and finally decide to check the forums and see nothing about such an issue, you think to yourself "It could be a good idea to post about this and perhaps understand what's going on".
- I thought it could also be a bug (I was thinking it could be a timing issue, i.e. the timing of the e-mail notification not coinciding with my local time, etc.). So, definitely, my 2nd motivation was to alert the site staff on this issue, if it existed (it kind of exists since this feature doesn't work on the new version of the page).

You've been Featured Pro 50 times in 5 years? I've only had that glittering accolade about 5 times in 13 years! Outrageous

I never start from that page—my proz bookmark always opens with the forums page.

I haven't really counted it, but 5 times in 13 years surely sounds really low.

There are much more serious issues than that, such as posts that are posted but don't reach all users, threads that always discuss the same topic and become annoying day by day, bugs of all kinds (just check the existing complaint threads), and I could go on, but I have other things to do.
Honestly, I've never noticed this myself because I haven't received any notifications as a featured member in years. I don't recall the last time I received it.
