Dear Adeladian colleagues,
Next Saturday (6 February) we will have our monthly networking session called Connect IT at Felini's cafe in North Adelaide. It starts at 10.00 am and all are welcome to come. I won't be there myself as I am in Brisbane for an AUSIT meeting. If interested, just drop a line to [email protected] (I'm the chair of AUSIT SA/NT).

Dear Claudia and everyone who was there this morning
Thank you so much for inviting me and being part of the group. I've met some wonderful people and have enjoyed very fruitful discussions. There is so much more to providing language related services than the conventional understanding of translating and interpreting, and this morning I was at the right place and at the right time to broaden my horizons. Thank you!

I'm glad to see so much interest in this Powwow, and I look forward to meeting all of you in June.
As I'm not in Adelaide yet, I am not sure what a suitable venue would be. I have had two suggestions, namely Caos Cafe around the corner of TAFE and Aldinga Beach Eco Village (thank you, Claudia). Or of course a barbecue.
What does everyone think?

Dear Nicole,
Personally I think a venue in the centre of Adelaide, such as Caos Cafe, is easier for people to travel to. Aldinga Beach is quite a long distance south of Adelaide and would take me a couple of hours to get to.

I apologise for 'sprooking' another AUSIT event here, but I thought you might be interested to know that our monthly networking session is on again. We've got a different venue because we've got a poetry translator coming in to talk about her work (as part of the writer's week). The meeting is at Caos Cafe on 6 March from 10 a.m. in the morning. Hope to see you all there

As there have been no further suggestions, I'd say let's go with Caos Cafe providing that suits everyone? I emailed them to enquire about booking a funciton room or at least reserve a table but haven't had a reply yet.
I look forward to meeting everyone at the regular AUSIT meetings as well once I'm in Adelaide.

Hello again,
I just wanted to clarify the address of the venue. According to the directory it is 188 Hindley St, and according to the Caos Cafe website it is 1 Register Street. It seems to be on the corner of both, so I'm sure we'll all find it.:)
