The Friday Open Office series (https://www.proz.com/topic/297634) is back, and the first event is scheduled for January 19. The venue is the usual one: Théâtre le Levain, 26 rue de la République, 33130 Bègles.

We will explore some basic subtitling tools and features:
- the freeware Aegisub that one can use to create subtitles and export them in various formats, and
- VidCoder, a freeware to burn those subtitles and thus create a subtitled video file that can be watched in various applications.

Those who wish to come earlier to chat can arrive from 2:30 pm. We will start discussing subtitling around 4 pm, and then around 6:30/7:00 pm the usual buffet-type dinner will start – for which partners, kids and friends are also welcome.
