Hello ProZians,

I'm looking for the market jargon corresponding to the following definition:

Le taux de destruction est un indice de performance de nos ventes. On expédie 100 bouteilles sur le marché et au final, les consommateurs en achètent 92. On parle alors de taux de destruction de 92%. Ce sont nos sorties caisses / nos expéditions X 100.

To add to Colin's answer, if I'm not mistaken, in French you hear about "taux de destruction promotionnelle" which would support the idea of a "sell-through" also known as a "promotional sale" (grand dictionnaire). Wouldn't it?

Thanks!! I was misled by the obvious meaning of "destruction", thus looking at the percentages the wrong way round...
agree writeaway : faux ami trap works again. agree with Lelsie- imo percentage is what is needed here, not rates.
