"Cette édition réunira 3000 participants sur les différentes courses (...). Ces courses permettront de faire découvrir la richesse du patrimoine de la Regio."

The route for these races crosses 3 borders: France, Switzerland and Germany.

I would like to know how to translate this into English? (I don't know if "Regio" here only refers to Switzerland alone or to the three countries. )
