storage vs preservation Explication : I think "conservation" could mean preservation, and "storage and preservation of records" is a very common phrase and idea in archiving contexts. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 8 mins (2016-04-14 08:44:53 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- "Preservation", in this context, simply means keeping them. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 9 mins (2016-04-14 08:46:19 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- But "keeping", applied to records or files, can imply maintaining, updating, which is not what this means, of course. |
