Hmm.. never looked informal to me. Evolutions of a 3-D object can be decomposed into shifts along 3 axes and rotations around 3 axes - that's all there is to it.

We also compute the uniform susceptibility at the critical point to order O(T2), and show that the corrections to scaling are numerically small, and the linear behavior of χu extends to high temperatures. This is consistent with the results of the recent Monte Carlo simulations by Sandvik and Scalapino.
