Mange ta main, garde l'autre pour demain,
Mange ton pied, garde l'autre pour danser.
Je l'ai entendu pas mal souvent, surtout l'hiver.
Ma mère nous aidait ensuite à trouver qqch à faire, un jeu, du bricolage, etc.
En anglais j'entends souvent :
What do you do when you live in a shoe?
Move to a boot and get laced.
Et aussi: I see, said the blind man, as he picked up his hammer and saw.

What I mean here in my tangential answer is that tehre is no exact duplicate of this in english that I am aware of. It\'s just a child\'s rhyme, like 1-2-3-4-5-6-7, Violette en bicyclette. (Ma fille a 4 ans, elle remplit la maison de chants et poésie enfantine :-) )
