laissez vous tenter par une brassée de crevettes en nage indienne
Non-PRO (1): writeaway
When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.
How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.
Proposed translations
dive into some curried prawns
Laissez vous tenter par une nage de crevettes à l'indienne
succumb to a shrimp/prawn stir-fry in Indian sauce
or curried shrimp stir-fry
or prawns, too, depending on your target audience
not as eloquent as nage Indienne, I grant, but I find that on a menu a loose translation is best, otherwise it just sounds stilted in English. If you must keep the "swimming" pun, try "bathed in Indian sauce".
let yourself be tempted by a handfull of shrimp, swimming in indian aromatic court bouillon
or give in to temptation, have a handfull of shrimp....
why don't you show us the funny translation?

Jack Dunwell
: The words, Mary. I've counted them out and I've counted them in. 15 isn't it? Daring!

let yourself be tempted by a plateful of shrimps with an Indian nage
indulge in a plate of shrimps bathed in a spicy Indian broth
A "nage" is a clear liquid.

Shannon Summers
: or "in an Indian-spiced" broth. "Spicy" can infer hot, but I like the straightforward, no need to be cute here.

sidestroke your way through some prawns and curry sauce

Mary Carroll Richer LaFlèche
: why not backstroke? I suppose if you must eat while swimming it's as good as sidestroke (otters do it too)

Nage indienne is SIDESTROKE far as I know and practice it! It leaves one hand relatively free to feed yourself the prawns!

Talila
: The shrimps are the ones swimming
