This appears in abbreviated form on a chart as "Effectif moy. facturé"
The text I'm translating is a presentation of a consulting company and "Effectif moy. facturé" probably refers to the number of consultants working in a given line of business. My problem is that space is very limited, so I'm having a lot of trouble expressing this in a way that would fit into the chart!

"Billed" is shorter than "invoiced" and abbreviated forms of invoiced (e.g. inv.) could have other meanings.

Désaccord  Tony M: 'effectif' here means staff, not 'effective'; and in this situation, I think we'd say 'average' not 'mean'

  -> I'm not sure that we would need "billed" in a table, since it's probably understood from the context that we're talking about the number of consultants on their books. But if you felt it was necessary, I'd go with Bashiqa's suggestion of "inv." on the end
