As Asker doesn't seem to be in a rush to provide more context, all we can do is make assumptions based on what can be extracted for the 5 related questions.

From what I know about betting shops in UK, "engaging" the gambler would amount to interacting with gamblers once they are in a betting shop. That would be done, inter alia, by filling the betting shop with screens displaying all sort of information useful for placing bets.

Pictures from US sportsbooks look very similar to UK betting shops.
