Here is an email I received, from a false customer through ProZ:

"Hi, I would like to know if you can translate a document
project from English to french . Please get back to me so
that i can send you the
document for your review."

This comes from a woman named Shannon on the behalf of Edwin Pabon ([email protected])

It looked serious, we discussed rates and time frame for the project. He was supposed to send me an ad... See more

It looked serious, we discussed rates and time frame for the project. He was supposed to send me an advance deposit and requested my banking informations. Never heard from him after that, and...I found the text to be translated on the internet...

Never give your bank details to someone you don't know, and never accept advance payment from them for work you have not yet carried out.

Please say you didn't give them your name and bank details.
