In general my long-standing customers (agencies and direct clients) receive a lower rate than newer clients, even though my rates are probably higher than average. Anyway, nowadays I tend to quote each project individually, based on language combination, field of expertise, number of words, technicality, deadline, document type and other practical criteria. | | | Agneta Pallinder Royaume-Uni Local time: 06:30 Membre (2014) suédois vers anglais + ...
My rates (in GBP, EUR or USD) have stayed the same, but because of the fall in the value of GBP after the referendum to leave the EU, I get more for any jobs paid for in EUR or USD. A very small consolation for the disaster of "Brexit". | | | Angus Stewart Royaume-Uni Local time: 06:30 Membre (2011) français vers anglais + ...

Hi, The rates have remained the same because of cut-throat competition between agencies to offer as low a price as possible. Regards, Devanathan. | | | Luiz Barucke Brésil Local time: 02:30 espagnol vers portugais + ... The same in USD and EUR | Jul 2, 2017 |
Although I can negotiate better rates for specific jobs, my standard rates stayed the same in USD and EUR. But I always negotiate new standard rates in my local currencies (ARS and BRL) at least once a year to reflect exchange rates. Otherwise, it would have no meaning accepting jobs in my local currencies. | | | Mario Freitas Brésil Local time: 02:30 Membre (2014) anglais vers portugais + ...
They have generally remained the same, although several clients are trying all kinds of "tricks" to reduce them, and I lost a few clients because I refused to lower my rates, as well. | | | Essentially unchanged | Jul 2, 2017 |
I don't get to negotiate my rates with international agencies, and they have remained the same. I do notice that I'm picking up fewer new agency clients. They seem like lovely people interested in starting a new relationship, but when I quote my regular rates I never hear from them again. | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Poll: In general, have your rates over the last 12 months gone up, gone down, or stayed the same?
